Borghi 1819 is a textile company specialized in the design and production of high quality fabrics for clothing.
Located in the ancient working-class village of Varano Borghi, the company was founded in the early 1800s with the name by Cotonificio Borghi. TBM Group owned the company since 1985 and completely renovate and equip it with state-of-the-art machinery. On the 200th anniversary, Borghi 1819 has brought its offices back inside the industrial site where it all began in the 18th century.

Our goal is to create cotton and linen fabrics functional and with a sophisticated aesthetic taste. We combine timeless fabrics with contemporary and innovative elements, in a production chain sustainable and entirely Italian.

The transformation of the raw material into yarns and afterwards into fabrics happens completely in Italy with industrial processes and high technological standards, always leaving room for an artisan touch entrusted to expert hands.
The entire industrial cycle takes place in the factories of the group located in Italy: spinning, warping, weaving, dyeing and finishing. The choice to keep all production in Italy is the result of a precise aiming vision to defend the quality and uniqueness of the product

SUPIMA COTTON
Supima is a rare high quality natural cotton fiber grown in the United States. It represents less than 1% of the cotton grown in the world and what makes Supima unique compared to other types of cotton is the extra-long fiber and the absence of impurities. This gives the cotton a superior performance in terms of resistance, softness, color retention and perfect whiteness.
RESISTANT
Supima è due volte più resistente del cotone normale
EXTRA SOFT
The extra-long fiber of Supima cotton makes the surface smoother and creates a fabric softer over time, which resists to pilling;
ECOLOGICAL
Supima cotton it’s completely compostable, guaranteeing zero waste;
+COLOR
The Supima cotton keeps color better normal cotton, preserving them wash after wash.
FIBRE SINTETICHE
Le fibre sintetiche per la lavorazione tessile sono create appositamente dall’uomo attraverso la filatura di polimeri sintetici e con diverse tecniche di polimerizzazione. Sono classificabili in base ad alcune variabili e alla materia artificiale di cui è composta. I principali tipi di fibra sintetica per tessuti sono 5: Fibre poliammidiche (Nylon); Fibre acriliche; Poliestere; Fibre polipropileniche; Fibre elastometriche.

LIMITLESS COLOR
Le fibre sintetiche possiedono una tingibilità senza limitazioni, facilitando il raggiungimento di qualsiasi tonalità e sfumatura
EASY MIX
A seconda del risultato che si vuole ottenere, permettono una miscibilità con altre fibre.
RESISTENTE
Sono resistenti agli agenti atmosferici e biologici, alla rottura e all’abrasione e garantiscono un ottimo recupero elastico;

La produzione delle fibre lunghe senza imperfezioni e le eccezionali caratteristiche meccaniche della fibra del lino europeo sono il risultato di un know-how riconosciuto a livello mondiale.

AFFINITA’ TINTORIALI
Il lino assorbe facilmente il colore, richiede poca quantità di tintura e riflette la luce;
ANALLERGICO
Anallergico e antibatterico, il lino è un’ottima scelta per le pelli sensibili;
ZERO SCARTI
Le fibre di lino vengono utilizzate per i tessuti, la carta, i feltri; i semi di lino e il suo olio per alimenti, vernici; le anas per il giardinaggio, l’isolamento, le lettiere. Ogni elemento della pianta è utilizzato;
TERMOREGOLATORE
La fibra di lino è cava, questo spiega gli effetti traspiranti in estate e isolanti in inverno;
RESTISTENTE Le sue proprietà meccaniche conferiscono una grande resistenza allo strappo e alla trazione, preservando la sua leggerezza;

SETA MULBERRY
La seta, unica fibra naturale ad essere prodotto a filo continuo, si ricava dal bozzolo del Bombyx Mori, insetto che si nutre di foglie di gelso. È considerata la seta più pregiata grazie ai suoi filamenti finissimi e recstari

RESISTENTE
Supima è due volte più resistente del cotone normale
EXTRA MORBIDO
La lunghezza aggiuntiva della fibra di Supima rende la superficie più liscia e produce un tessuto sempre più morbido nel tempo, che resiste al pilling.

ECOLOGICO
Il cotone Supima è completamente compostabile,
garantendo zero sprechi;

+COLORE
Il prodotto Supima mantiene il colore meglio del cotone normale, conservando la loro brillantezza lavaggio dopo
